Instrumental and Choral Directing
In my instrumental and choral directing, I have worked with a wide variety of groups and performers of all ages and abilities. This has included The Heart of Kent Orchestra, Chiswick Theatre Arts Christ Church Kensington, The Music House for Children and various schools, educational groups and community settings. In my current secondary school, I have lead evensong at Worcester Cathedral, Lichfield Cathedral and Bury St Edmund's Cathedral. In my previous role I also founded a new junior choir with a focus on a high standard of singing top train pupils for the schools chamber choir. Recent performances have included Faure Cantiue de Jean Racine, Vivaldi Gloria and Byrd Mass for 3 voices. I completed my level 5 conducting module at the RCM and also received 'A' grade in my Choral Conducting and Leadership masters module at the UCL Institute of Education.
My wife, Lisa, and I also direct our baroque chamber groups schools project, where we bring one of our harpsichords into school and run chamber groups with pupils, including teaching harpsichord accompanying skills. For this project and various other groups, I have created a wide array of compositions and arrangements. View my scores here.
